Plea to EMI: Bring Back the DRM!

It has come to my attention that EMI's decision to remove Digital Restrictions Management from it's recordings on iTunes has resulted in skyrocketing sales of Pink Floyd albums.

On behalf of everybody who has ever opposed DRM I swear nobody ever foresaw this.

The thought that as an opponent of DRM I might bear even the slightest responsibility for future generations mistaking pretentious elevator music, dry ice, and lasers for great art is too, too horrifying. So please EMI, I beg of you, reinstate DRM on all your recordings from Pink Floyd, and while you're at it, do the same for ELO, Garth Brooks, Kenny Rogers, Iron Maiden, the Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran, post-Beatles Paul McCartney, Gary Glitter, Kraftwerk, Marillion, Queen, and - oh to hell with it, just lock up your entire catalogue to be on the safe side.
