Software Freedom Day 2008

We have submitted a team for Software Freedom Day 2008. Its going to be low key this year...not too taxing. We will obtain some Ubuntu CDs plus the Ubuntu Educational add-on to send out to secondary schools throughout the region. It will also be accompanied with other resources that can be used in the class room.

If you would like to get involve please contact me at paul[at]coffswifi[dot]net

There will be a BBQ organised for the 20th of September (venue still to be announced) for those who want to talk/find out more about Software Freedom.

OpenDisc

I think it would be good to include the OpenDisc as well. I'd rather it was called the FreeDisk; I suppose we can rename it. :)

DownLoaded The Disk Images

I have downloaded three images for the event. Ubuntu 8.04 Live CD and the Alt Image. I've also down loaded the OpenDisk. I will get a pile of CD's and burn them over the next few days. Will be using light scribe to make them look pretty.

The next Items will be a covering letter and supporting documentation.

We will have a BBQ down at Park Beach from 11:00am to say 2:00pm. At this point I will say bring your own...

bring...

Bring our own what? Discs? Sausages? BBQ?

Discs? Sausages? BBQ?

Just something to eat and drink.
