Linux (that's the kernel, as theres no 'GNU/' at the front) developer Greg Kroah-Hartman delivered the closing keynote talk at this years Ottawa Linux Symposium on Myths, Lies, and Truths about the Linux kernel. A few of his observations include:
Linux supports more devices "out of the box" than any other operating system ever has.
Linux supports more different processors than any other operating system ever has.
Closed source kernel modules are illegal, unworkable, and unethical.
